| Maria was too engrossed in her fake finger sucking contest with Michael to
pick up on Liz’s coughing. Liz had to almost choke herself to get Maria to
notice. When Maria finally looked up Liz bucked her eyes and slanted her up
to where Alex was standing. Maria turned around and looked at Alex standing
their watching her and he didn’t look happy. Liz put her elbow on the table
and turned her head looking into space whistling. Michael was still gazing
at Maria with a goofy smile on his face. “A-Alex....” Maria stuttered. |
