Teen Television – Roswell Mentioned – TV Guide

This is in the Oct. 28 – Nov. 3 Issue of TV Guide. The article, “The Truth
about Teen TV” is by Donna Britt and is from a parents point of view. In the
article she starts by saying that for a 40-something Mom she seems to have it
going on…but if you asked her for an opinion of prime-time TV aimed at
young people she would be as she put it up Dawson’s Creek. So she checked
out about half a dozen or so teen-themed shows. Here’s a quote from the
article as to what she found,
Today, teens’ burgeoning disposable incomes have resulted in a slew of
programs and all of the WB aimed at them. Frankly, I expected almost
nothing from these shows. So I was amazed to find several that were
engrossing, especially ROSWELL, Felicity and NBC’s much lamented Freaks
and Geeks. Others failed to meet even my most meager expectations…I thought this was article was really positive for Roswell.

There is a great article called” the truth about teen TV” on pg. 47-48.
It is very flattering to Roswell but not some other WB shows. The article is by Donna Britt.
