Shonda Rhimes on “Grey’s Anatomy” and Izzie

During her “One For the Money” press tour Katherine Heigl said that she would love to reprise her role as Izzie Stevens on “Grey’s Anatomy”. When TV Guide spoke with Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the show, they asked her about this topic:

TV Guide Magazine: Katherine Heigl recently said she wants to come back to “see where Izzie is.” Is she welcome?
Rhimes: I think it was really nice to hear her appreciating the show. We are on a track we have been planning, and the idea of changing that track is not something we are interested in right now.
