William Sadler Plays Simon Stagg in “The Flash”
William Sadler plays businessman Simon Stagg, in The CW’s upcoming new show “The Flash”.
The announcement was made via Twitter on July 12th, 2014, when he posted a photo from the set. David Nutter directed the pilot as well as the second episode,”Fastest Man Alive”, which was revealed by AJ Kreisberg the executive producer of The CW’s “Arrow” and “The Flash”.
William Sadler tweeted from the set “Working #TheFlash w/ my friend David Nutter again. Dist. Behavior, Roswell pilot, Traveler, Pacific. Nobody does it better.”
The “Arrow” spin-off centers around scientist Barry Allen, who suffers a freak accident that turns him into a superhero with the power of incredible speed. In the comic books, Stagg is the CEO of Stagg Enterprises. He has a daughter, who is the love interest of Rex Mason (Metamorpho).
The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, with Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective West.
Robbie Amell recently joined “The Flash” as Firestorm and the Prison Break star Wentworth Miller will play Captain Cold.
“The Flash” is coming Tuesdays this fall to The CW.
