Another notable TV show that you played a great part on was the series “Roswell” – what were your feelings about that show?

WS: I enjoyed “Roswell” a lot and I had a lot of fun playing Jim Valenti. I had never done a show that lasted as long as that – that one lasted three years. I had done lots of guest spots and series that didn’t go very far and I just found it fascinating to play a character who every week you get a script and it’s like turning the page and there’s a whole new chapter in your characters life. It was fun to watch the character grow and develop over time – I didn’t find it stagnate at all or stifling. My character had a past that just never repeated itself ever. And then of course I wanted to direct and learn about directing and they allowed me to direct the second to last episode of the third year, which was an extraordinary experience for me. It was life changing and a real eye opener to be on the other side of the camera.

Good memories! Who doesn’t love this scene?

MAX: I’ve never tried this before, but maybe I can make the connection go the other way. So you can see, you know that, that I’m still me.
MAX: I have to touch you.
[Liz nods. Max puts his hands on both side of her head]
MAX: Now just take deep breaths and try to let your mind blank out.
[Liz gets a rush of images, Max and Isabel walking down the road and the Evans finding them, Max on the first day, and how he sees her. In the halls at school talking to Maria, and since they were in third grade]
VOICE-OVER: I could feel everything he was feeling. I could feel his loneliness. For the first time I was really seeing Max Evans, I saw me as he saw me, and the amazing thing was, in his eyes, I was beautiful.
[Max pulls away]
MAX: Did it work?

This show dropped a lot of its mythology and became more soap-operatic in its last season, with Max and Liz getting back together and searching for Max’s son, stolen by the evil Tess. Meanwhile, Isabel marries a man she just met and then tries to hide her alien origins from him. Meanwhile, the FBI is closing in on the aliens, until they have to go on the run again.

In many countries it is traditional at the start of December to display an Advent Calendar to mark the countdown to Christmas Day.

Instead of chocolates, we thought we could sweeten the festive season with our own version of an Advent Calendar – filled with daily Roswell goodies.

We have already prepared some surprises, but we’d like you to join us. The more fans that join the merrier!

So what sort of gifts can be concealed behind each window in our Advent Calendar?
