In dem Southern-Gothic-Thriller “Undertow” ist Shiri Appleby in einer kleinen Rolle zu sehen. Sie spielt die junge Violet.

ES – “Una porción de amor” with Shiri airs in Spain

On September 1st, 2010 “Pizza My Heart” will air in Spain on the television channel Cosmopolitan at 22:35 pm. In addition a repeat is set to air on September 2rd at 10:16 am.

In Spain the film is entitled “Una porción de amor”. The Romeo and Juliet story is set in New Jersey and Shiri Appleby plays Gina Prestolani who returns from College. Back home she learns that her father already mapped out her whole life.

Owl City Song – Legend of the Guardians

E!Online reports that Owl City frontman Adam Young recently wrote and recorded “To the Sky” for Legend of the Guardians.

“Wrote a song called ‘To the Sky’ featured in upcoming Warner Bros. film ‘Legend of the Guardians,’ ” Young recently twittered. “Gonna be a hoot and a holler.” [...]

Guardians tells the story of a group of orphaned owls who seek the help of the mythical wise owls of the Island of Ga’Hoole to fight the evil rulers of their orphanage.

The movie features voices by True Blood hottie Ryan Kwanten, Emilie de Ravin, Hugo Weaving, Helen Mirren, Abbie Cornish and Jim Sturgess, among others. Snyder, the genius behind 300 and the upcoming Sucker Punch, produced the flick in Australia with Animal Logic, the same animation company responsible for the Oscar-winning Happy Feet.

Heute Abend zeigt Das Erste die Nora Roberts Verfilmung “Im Licht des Vergessens” mit Emilie de Ravin und Ivan Sergei.

Emilie de Ravin spielt die Polizistin und junge Mutter Phoebe MacNamara, die darauf spezialisiert ist mit Geiselnehmern zu verhandeln. Der amerikanische Sender Lifetime strahlte den Film unter dem Titel “High Noon” im April 2009 aus.

Geiselnahmen und Entführungen sind ihr tägliches Geschäft: Die Polizistin Phoebe MacNamara ist darauf spezialisiert, mit Menschen zu verhandeln, die sich in scheinbar ausweglose Situationen manövriert haben, von psychotischen Geiselnehmern bis hin zu verzweifelten Selbstmordkandidaten.

Mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl und bisweilen ungewöhnlichen Methoden gelingt es der Polizistin, die einst selbst das Opfer eines Geiselnehmers war, das Schlimmste zu verhindern. Neben ihrem gefährlichen und anspruchsvollen Job findet die alleinerziehende Phoebe dennoch die Zeit, sich liebevoll um ihre kleine Tochter Carly und ihre psychisch angeschlagene Mutter Essie zu kümmern, die an Agoraphobie leidet und daher nicht fähig ist, ihr Haus zu verlassen.

Bei einem Einsatz lernt Phoebe eines Tages den charmanten Duncan kennen. Der gut aussehende Barbesitzer, der sich trotz eines millionenschweren Lottogewinns seine Bodenständigkeit bewahrt hat, macht der Polizistin nach allen Regeln der Kunst den Hof – und gewinnt mit seiner romantischen Beharrlichkeit schließlich ihr Herz. Dann aber wird das private Glück von einem brutalen Überfall auf Phoebe überschattet. Der Verdacht fällt auf einen aggressiven jungen Polizisten, der von Phoebe vom Dienst suspendiert worden war. Doch obwohl dieser dingfest gemacht werden kann, kommt es zu immer neuen und immer bedrohlicheren Zwischenfällen – Phoebe schwebt in höchster Gefahr.

In einem Wettlauf mit der Zeit versucht die junge Frau herauszufinden, wer der unheimliche Stalker ist und warum er sich an ihr rächen will.

Neben Emilie de Ravin, bekannt aus der Kultserie “Lost”, ist Cybill Shepherd (“Taxi Driver”) in einer Nebenrolle zu sehen.

Devon Gummersall in web series “Man-Teen”

The Online Network KoldCast TV, an on-demand next-generation television network, launched their new original web series “Man-Teen” on Wednesday, August 11, 2010. In this series, Devon Gummersall, plays JT a succesful promoter.

“One For The Money” Release Date

Kheigl.com reports that Lionsgate announced that action comedy crime thriller “One For The Money” will be released in theaters on July 8th, 2011.

Katherine is currently busy filming in the Pittsburgh area. The Film is based on the Janet Evanovich’s best selling novel of the name same and is one of a series of books based around the character Stephanie Plum.

Find out what Katherine tells about Debbie Reynolds who will play Grandma Mazur:

Reynolds will play the part of the feisty Grandma Mazur, the outspoken, outrageous advisor and maternal grandmother to Katheine’s character.

“Grandma Mazur is such a great character,” Katherine told Deadline. “She’s really feisty and the one who’s a real mentor to Stephanie Plum. We needed somebody for the part who would speak her mine and even be a little edgy. We approached Debbie Reynolds because she has that ‘Molly Brown’ as a contemporary grandmother. She’s so perfect for the part. Then she read it, loved it and joined immediately.”

Shiri Appleby and her “Life Unexpected” co-stars Kristoffer Polaha, Britt Robertson, Austin Basis and Kerr Smith teamed up and created the Facebook page Cast of Life Unexpected. It is the place to be to get behind the scenes photos and daily craziness!
