Crashdown is a very important part of my life, and is in a few words, quite simply the coolest thing I've ever been involved with. I have friends here who I have never seen in person, but still are among the best I've ever had. It's been an honor to be involved with such a great group of people as those who run this site, and those who post here.

I got involved with crashdown and Roswell because I was a Jason Behr fan, and thought he was a great actor. Becoming a part of crashdown though, opened a whole new world for me, and it would be a multi-volume piece for me tell you every cool thing that I have experienced for being a part of it. It's definitely much more than I thought was possible, and I truly look forward to every new day, and what will happen next. We have had down times, but the positive experiences made all those worthwhile a thousand times over and then some.

Thank you all for being a part of crashdown! I don't know that anyone realizes what we have done here, but it seems pretty cool to me. And each and every person who comes here has a share in that.

Happy Birthday, Crashdown! In the past ten months, Crashdown/FanForum has been like a second home to me, and it is my honor to join you in celebrating its one year anniversary. I first found the Crashdown message board from a link on Elyssah's Roswell Online site and lurked for about a month before registering in November of 1999. At that time, I was writing episode summaries for Elyssah and contributing various other things (pictorials, video clips) as well. When Roswell Online closed, I offered squanto any help he needed on the Crashdown site, which had just relaunched a few weeks earlier. Surprisingly, he not only took me up on my offer, but asked if I would like to join him and michec as a co-webmaster. Since then, Crashdown has become a very large part of my life. <g>

I would like to thank each and every one of you who have made this "recovering introvert" feel right at home here! I have made so many friends on the boards and in the chatroom, and I would like to thank every one of you for contributing to the "Crashdown Experience." Crashdown would not be what it is today without all of you, so give yourselves a big hand!

Happy Birthday, Crashdown... I hope there are many more to come!

Just like Squanto so eloquently stated, Crashdown has become become a part of my life as well. I consider it a blessing and a curse at the same time but wouldn't trade it anything in the world. It's taught me a lot about who I am, how others end up to be and most importantly, made me stronger because of it and helped me to grow into who I am today. Also, thanks to everyone who has always been there for me and for Crashdown and supported me through all the issues of this past year. You know who you are and that I am grateful. It is because of them that Crashdown has become much more important than ever to me.

My involvement with Crashdown is a little different than anyone else's. I co-run Dawson's Creek Daily with Liz and have known Squanto, Netranger, Liz, and a bunch of other individuals even before Crashdown was launched a year ago. I distinctly recall the mushroom/foot/UFO spaceship or whatever it was supposed to be on the tan message board when Squanto asked me to come post on his newly-made board. That was the beginning of everything for me. Somehow I became involved with posting news on the site itself and the rest, as it's said, is history.

First and foremost, Crashdown wouldn't be as successful or as popular as it is without the fans and all the support you've given the site over the last year --whether it be helping with the campaigns, sending in news to the crashdown account or even just emailing me or others with praise for the site. It means a lot to me that I am indeed "muy persona gratis" and welcomed on the site.

Happy Birthday Crashdown :)

(Unfortunately, I will have to be one of the unique team members and not have a picture posted of me. It's not that I don't have one-just that I look a little different now than when I did when my most recent picture was taken in May and I'd rather not scare anyone unless I have to.)

I found the Crashdown when Elyssah's site was hacked into. She had decided not to continue doing Roswell Online because of the hacker, and it was suggested that people go to the Roswell posting forum at FanForum to lend her support.

Well, this forum became quite addictive in a very short time. All of a sudden I was on the Roswell board everyday, engaging in great conversation with other posters. Eventually, I found the rest of FanForum, and when I saw how much it had to offer, I got as involved as possible.

Crashdown is an amazing place full of amazing people, and I can honestly say it's been a pleasure so far. I hope to be here for a long time to come with all of you.

I have to thank Kim for telling me about Crashdown at the very beginning of this year. In my first few weeks of posting on FF, Kim and I started planning the Roswellian Gathering together. It was a great experience to meet so many people and make lots of new friends, and it was all thanks to Crashdown. Then there was the campaign to get Roswell renewed, including the Variety Ad - what a wonderful accomplishment by the Crashdown community!

Working on Crashdown has been both fun and rewarding. Most of all, it's been great to be part of something so amazing! I started doing the spoilers in March, and I became a moderator on Roswell 2 in May. Somewhere in between, I started compiling party information on Crashdown so that fans across the country would know when the next party was happening. I was also part of the planning committee for the Crashdown Party in August. Seeing the cast on stage, with 450 people singing "Here With Me" just sent shivers down my spine.

Special thanks and waves to Leif, Kenn and Darien as well as my wonderful Roswell 2 co-moderators.

Happy Birthday, Crashdown!

Hi I'm Kim and live in Los Angeles although I'm formerly from London. I'm married with two sons, Daniel (9) and Joshua (7) who are both hockey fanatics. I'm a Production Accountant and worked at Columbia Pictures/Sony for 11 years on various TV shows - I'm now working freelance close to where I live. I moderate the Roswell 2 board as well as do images on the Crashdown site.

I discovered Crashdown and FF thru Elyssah's Roswell Online site in November 1999 and lurked for a couple of months before I got up the courage to register and vote. I'm very proud to have been a part of the Save Roswell campaign and to have had my design used for the Daily Variety Ad which the fans paid for and appeared on April 10.

My then co-worker and I, Lena/Fehrocious gave the 1st Roswellian Gathering in L.A. party in February 2000 and made some great friends including Kristi/Kdberg and blackwidow/Fionna who we co-moderate with. Lena and I have since given a season finale party, season premier party and been part of the organisation of the Crashdown Party which took place on August 5 and was attended by the whole Roswell cast including producers and writers and raised money for World Vison's 30 hour famine. More parties are planned in the future!

My hero is Jason Katims - I think he is brilliant. I've loved all his shows - Relativity being close 2nd to Roswell. Roswell has become a major part of my life and Crashdown and FanForum my home away from home. I'm so happy to be a part of this wonderful place!

I joined Fanforum on October 13, 1999 (the night of the second episode of Roswell) and my whole world turned upside down. <g> Having never participated in message boards before, this was an entirely new experience for me! I was welcomed with open arms to a tight little group who was as passionate about this show as I was, and I spent entire days just posting about the show with my new friends. We began chatting regularly sometime in November at squanto's jason-behr.com chat room and then moved to the #roswell room at MIRC. I had never had so much fun in my entire life!! I remember hauling my desk-top computer to the beach at Thanksgiving and again to Dallas at Christmas (we live in Mississippi) so that I wouldn't miss out on the chat room or Fanforum LOL That's why, when Squanto asked me to begin helping out with crashdown.com, it was an honor and a privilege, and also a way to actually be productive with my online time ;-) I had been drawing quick sketches of the Roswell cast for my chat buddies for awhile so a Fan Art page at Crashdown was just a natural thing for me to do. My days center around Crashdown and Fanforum and now the Jason Behr board, which I am now moderating. I am very fortunate to be able to work at home, as a residential designer, so I can be online throughout the day (and usually all night as well! LOL) Of course, my Roshubby gets a little jealous sometimes, but surprisingly, he babysat the kids for me so that I could attend the Crashdown Party in L.A. in August, and it has only cemented my friendships with my Rosbuddies even more!

Polls

Hi, my name is Kendra, and I'm seventeen. I became involved with crashdown.com sometime in March of 2000, if I remember correctly. I was in charge of the polls. Working on crashdown.com with all the great people made me one happy person. 'Roswell' was the first show that I really loved, so it was an honor for me to be involved in such a wonderful site. In July of 2000, I had to take a break of sorts from working on the polls due to some personal things. I wasn't planning to be gone for very long, but in September I was in a car accident, and it prevented me from returning. I hope to return to working on crashdown.com by the end of this year. I miss working with all the great people. One thing that I must say is working on crashdown.com has made me one happy fan. It made me like the show even more, if that's possible. Happy Birthday crashdown.com! I hope there's many more to come.

I found Fanforum in October shortly after I saw the pilot episode. I had never posted on a fan messageboard before, so it took me a while to figure out what was going on so I lurked for a few weeks. I finally registered and posted in November. One of the first threads that I posted on was a Birthday thread. Shortly after I posted that my Birthday was October 17th, I heard from some guy named "squanto", he told me that we had the same birthday, and that there was someone else on the forum with it as well.

I first went into "squanto's " chat room because I wanted to talk about Roswell with people that loved it as much as I did (My family just didn't understand). I had tried to use the chat room on Elyssah's website but AOL users weren't allowed :-(. I then heard about "squanto's" room and started going there after the show aired. Several weeks later the #roswell chat room was set up, but they hadn't set up the Java applet on the Crashdown, so the only way to access the room was with an IRC client. Liz was the first person that I asked about how to access the room and she gave me some quick instructions, and I was an instant convert to the wonders of MIRC. Soon we began having "regular" nightly chats in the #roswell room, and I became very close, to a core group of people, many of which are still involved with crashdown today. Squanto is the individual I "blame" ;-p most for pulling me into crashdown world, his hard work and enthusiasm, was contagious. When the Roswell boards expanded to a level that needed an extra moderator, I was asked to join the team of squanto and stogy. MoonFire joined us a few weeks after stogy took a break from the roswell board for a few months.

By this time squanto was extremely over worked, maintaining 3 websites, working and going to school, and asked if I would help on the Brendan website. After a 5 min lesson on how to FTP, and another 5 min lesson on how to update the news section, MoonFire, Dawnie, and I became his "staff".

I have to say, if I was told a year ago that I would this involved with a fan site I would have told them they were crazy. This last year, I have learned so much from the posters on the boards, and made some very close friends. I went from not knowing a word of HTML, to maintaining a very popular website, and being involved with a team that is building another one from the ground up. The skills that I have learned from my volunteer time, are probably much better than I would have had, had I spent a year in school. For that, I would like to thank all of the extremely patient people that took the time to teach me. I hope that in my time as a moderator of the Roswell board, that I have given back some of the knowledge that has been shared with me.

In the year that I have been with the forum I have seen the message board and website grow from a small group of relative strangers, to a large, closely knit family. The LA trip, and the various "local" fan parties that I attended have been some of the happiest memories of the year for me. The Roswell forum has had its share of growing pains, but we have accomplished some amazing things over the year. I have been very proud to be associated with such a terrific website and group of people.

Happy Birthday Crashdown! My name is Kristi and I came to Fan Forum/Crashdown shortly after the pilot episode aired last October. I knew I would be hooked on this show as soon as I saw the previews, but never imagined I would become this involved in fandom. I have never been involved in a fan group for a show in the past and have never even visited television websites before Roswell. My involvement in this website has been one of the most positive experiences I've ever had. In the beginning, I was a lurker and it took quite some time for me to speak up, however, once I made a few friends and met a couple people in person, there was no shutting me up. I was also lucky enough to get involved in some of the campaigning this past Spring, which led to being named a Moderator of the Roswell 2 board. This past August, I was a part of the planning committee for the 1st Annual Crashdown Party in Los Angeles. This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I was finally able to meet many of the people I had become such good friends with over the past year, as well as be a part of a charity event that raised a great deal of money for World Vision 30 Hour Famine on behalf of Roswell fans. Having never been involved in an event of this magnitude or a charity drive such as this one, this was a wonderfully rewarding experience. I look forward to be involved in many Roswell events in the future.

I would like to thank everyone involved in Crashdown and Fan Forum for providing such a supportive and caring environment for the fans to express their thoughts and feelings for the show. I've made some of the best friends I've ever had through this site and look forward to many more years together!

Heya kiddies!

I'm Peeg and I moderate the Brendan Fehr board. I didn't get involved with the Crashdown itself until earlier this year when Squanto came to a few people and asked about finding a new team of folks to head the fanfiction team on the site. A few people volunteered, including myself, Drcy and Catalinay. After a few lessons of what we were supposed to do, the three of us found ourselves getting stories to put up in areas, coding them and putting them on the site. A few months later, my time was growing short on how I could help maintain the fanfiction area with Drcy and Catalinay and I withdrew from it completely (trust me, it's a lot harder than most think and I have ultimate respect for Catalinay and Drcy for maintaining that section so well.) I was just a regular poster on the Roswell Boards and then in June (I believe) the Brendan Fehr board came up and I was made a moderator with Catalinay.

The Crashdown has made an impact in my life because it led me to meet all these fabulous people and some newfound best friends. The parties that Lena and Kim throw, the hard work that each staff member puts into making this site one of the best out there and the way that the posters came together to save a TV Show, shows me that all the effort put into this site is well worth it. Being a moderator on the Brendan Fehr board is obviously much more than just a job for me... it's one way that I feel I can give back to a site that has blessed me with the things I know now and the Friendships I hold today.

Roswell: Crashdown is maintained by Squanto, michec, and Kenna.
