Sometimes I wish I could turn back time,
Back to when things were yours and mine.
There was no "ours" or "we" or "us,"
Back before things got serious.

Sometimes I wish I could jump to the future,
To see if you'll love me, care for and nurture.

Sometimes I wish I could make time freeze,
Like now when you're down upon one knee.
Before I can beg for the moment to linger,
You place a ring upon my finger.

Do I say yes? Do I say no?
Do I jump back? Or go with the flow?
Before I can think any more or time,
Your arms are around me, your lips on mine.

I love him so much so I guess I'll be daring,
Besides, I've always wanted to be Mrs. Michael Guerin.
