\nQuestion: What was your favorite episode of Roswell & why?
\nHeigl TVG: My favorite is from last season, either the White Room or Toy
\nHouse
\nHeigl TVG: and the White Room cause I felt like that was the moment the shows
\nHeigl TVG: started to take a more mature turn and make it sci-fi and a little
\ndeeper
\nHeigl TVG: than the everyday high school stuff.
\nHeigl TVG: Also the Toy House cause it’s real issues about identity and
\nloving
\nHeigl TVG: parents and people and friends.
\nHeigl TVG: It was a really strong episode about relationships and love and
\nwhat determines
\nHeigl TVG: who you are and all that kind of stuff.
\nQuestion: DO U LIKE TABASCO SAUCE?

\nHeigl TVG: I do. I’m a big fan of tabasco sauce on scrambled eggs.
\nHeigl TVG: It makes every dish better.

\nHeigl TVG: To answer the first part, my favorite film I’ve ever been in
\nprobably..
\nHeigl TVG: Oh boy, probably My Father The Hero, c
\nHeigl TVG: cause it was the first lead I had in a big feature film.
\nHeigl TVG: It was really exciting and funny and new.
\nHeigl TVG: We were filming in the Bahamas for 3 months which never hurts.
\nHeigl TVG: It was really exciting in a good way and not in an overwhelming
\nway.
\nTVGLive2: We are chatting live with Katherine Heigl from Roswell…keep

\nHeigl TVG: And the second part of the question would be..Last season was far
\nmore
\nHeigl TVG: relationship driven.
\nHeigl TVG: It was about the kids figuring out who they are.
\nHeigl TVG: Just dealing with teachers and parents.
\nHeigl TVG: This year it’s far more sci-fi driven.
\nHeigl TVG: There is always a lot of relationships and a lot of heart, but
\nHeigl TVG: it’s definitely got a lot of mythology and it’s more suspensive
\nwhich I like.
\nQuestion: Katherine, how old were you when you first started acting?
\nHeigl TVG: I was eleven years old when I did my first film.
\nQuestion: I loved the movie Wish Upon A star…. i loved the music .. who was
\nthe
\nQuestion: band in the scene at the end at the dance?
\nHeigl TVG: The band was called Moonpools and Caterpillers.
\nHeigl TVG: They are a band based out of Utah where we did the film.
\nHeigl TVG: I got a cd from them and I still listen to it.
\nHeigl TVG: I really loved them and they’re really fun.
\nQuestion: Does your character develop any new or unusual powers during
\nQuestion: this new season?
\nHeigl TVG: Actually she does. We just all actually find ourselves growing
\nmore powerful
\nHeigl TVG: and learning about ourselves and our abilities as alien\/human
\nhybrids.
\nHeigl TVG: Very exciting season.
\nQuestion: Do you think Micheal and Isabelle with be having a realtionship in
\nQuestion: season 2 or are you staying with Alex?–
\nHeigl TVG: At this point I don’t think she’s going to be with either.

\nHeigl TVG: I heard you weren’t happy with the Michael\/Isabel relationship
\ncause it was kind of
\nHeigl TVG: insestuous.
\nHeigl TVG: I was wondering how you all felt out there about it?

\nHeigl TVG: I love to play Isabel as sort of, last season I played her
\nvulnerablility.
\nHeigl TVG: She started off as mean and cold.
\nHeigl TVG: Beneath the tough exterior she has a vulnerable side.
\nHeigl TVG: Now she has to be deal with situations more as an adult.
\nHeigl TVG: I’m going from someone who does her toenails with her powers.
\nHeigl TVG: Now I’m finding her perspective very unique.

\nQuestion: Who are you closest to on the set?
\nHeigl TVG: I would probably say Jason Behr.
\nQuestion: how old were you when you did “my father the hero”?
\nHeigl TVG: I was 14.
\nQuestion: what was the funniest thing a fan has done to meet you?
\nHeigl TVG: I once got purple flowers at my high school which was a little
\nstrange.
\nQuestion: DId you ever think Roswell would be as big as it is?
\nHeigl TVG: I think what we’ve seen in the past is that WB shows become
\npheonomeons.
\nHeigl TVG: Dawson and 7th Heaven and Charmed seeked a select audience
\nHeigl TVG: and then became popular.
\nHeigl TVG: We had high hopes for the show.
\nHeigl TVG: We always thought it would appeal to a certain audience cause of
\nthe sci-fi.
\nHeigl TVG: We were surprised when it became a show that people could enjoy
\nfor a lot of
\nHeigl TVG: different reasons.

\nHeigl TVG: The best way to succeed is word of mouth.
\nQuestion: aah the Tess situation. . .. many people dislike tess. . .many
\nQuestion: people love her. . . what are your feelings?
\nHeigl TVG: As Isabel, I think Isabel is very drawn to Tess cause she feels
\nlike a kindred spirit.
\nHeigl TVG: So she feels like Tess is a sister, but she’s fighting that cause
\nshe’s very suspisous.
\nHeigl TVG: She was raised differently.
\nHeigl TVG: As Katherine goes; I think it’s an interesting turn of events.
\nHeigl TVG: And Emily Deraven is a great addition to the show.
\nQuestion: When is 100 Girls supposed to show in the states?
\nHeigl TVG: I don’t know if it will.
\nHeigl TVG: I don’t know when or if it will.
\nHeigl TVG: Terribly sorry.
\nQuestion: What’s your favorite tv show??
\nHeigl TVG: Probably Buffy the Vampire Slayer or West Wing.
\nHeigl TVG: I know they’re both pretty varried.
\nHeigl TVG: I’m also a big fan of 7th Heaven, I’ve got to admit.
\nQuestion: DO YOU BELIEVE IN ALIENS?
\nHeigl TVG: I do.

\nHeigl TVG: I wore it during the episode where I was dreamwalking and Alex
\nfound out
\nHeigl TVG: I was an alien.
\nHeigl TVG: I think it was called Sexual Healing.
\nQuestion: Are there any current characters that may turn out to also be
\nQuestion: alien\/human hybrids?
\nHeigl TVG: Not that I know of.
\nQuestion: Do more people notice you now more on the street since Roswell has
\nQuestion: become a big success?
\nHeigl TVG: It depends where you are. In LA not so much.
\nHeigl TVG: People are low key.
\nHeigl TVG: When I’m out of town or go home to CT, or maybe NY a little bit
\nmore.
\nHeigl TVG: But we’re not Elvis yet.
\nQuestion: Were you relieved to find out that Roswell got renewed for a second
\nQuestion: season, or did you believe in it all the way?
\nHeigl TVG: It was pretty shaky there. I was pretty relieved.
\nHeigl TVG: I didn’t know it was a sure thing until 2 weeks before they picked
\nit.
\nHeigl TVG: I was pretty relieved.
\nQuestion: What has been the funniest thing to happen on set?
\nHeigl TVG: There’s a lot.
\nHeigl TVG: We’re laughing all the time.
\nHeigl TVG: If I go to work and have a really hearty laugh at least once a
\nday.
\nHeigl TVG: Brendon is funny in a gross way.
\nHeigl TVG: Jason does a lot of funny imitations of people.
\nHeigl TVG: When people fall of the golf carts on the way to sets, I get a
\ngood laugh out of that.
\nHeigl TVG: We really crack each other up though.
\nHeigl TVG: Nobody else finds us funny.
\nHeigl TVG: We crack each other up.
\nQuestion: hello ask her if she liked the quilt that we all made for
\nher!!!!!!!!!!!!!

\nHeigl TVG: Yes I do. I love the quilt and have it on display in my bedroom.
\nQuestion: Did you work on any features over the summer?
\nHeigl TVG: I didn’t over the summer, but about a month ago, I went
\nHeigl TVG: up to Vancouver for 5 days and did Valentine.
\nHeigl TVG: That’s with David Boreanz and Denise Richards.
\nQuestion: Katherine~ What do u like to do in your spare time?
\nHeigl TVG: I read a lot. I like to write.
\nHeigl TVG: When I’m really feeling inspired I’ll draw.
\nHeigl TVG: I like to see good movies or rent movies and hang out with
\nfriends.

\nHeigl TVG: No. You don’t want me to sing.
\nHeigl TVG: That’s never been one of my true talents.
\nHeigl TVG: I love to sing, but I’m not a singer.
\nHeigl TVG: No Britteny Spears here.
\nHeigl TVG: I went and saw Duets and Gwenyth Paltrow had a beautiful voice.
\nHeigl TVG: I was singing all weekend and a friends said, “Fancining yourself
\nas Gwenyth now?”
\nQuestion: iF YOU COULD BE ANY OTHER CHARACTER IN ROSWELL WHO WOULD IT BE?
\nHeigl TVG: There are a few. I think Tess is a really interesting character.
\nHeigl TVG: A lot of complexity there.
\nHeigl TVG: I think Maria is a lot of fun.
\nHeigl TVG: I can always dream.
\nHeigl TVG: I guess that’s it.
\nQuestion: How long do you think Roswell will air?
\nHeigl TVG: I don’t know.
\nHeigl TVG: We hope it gets picked up for the back nine, but we don’t know.

\nQuestion: Whats it like working with everyone on the show?Do you know

\nQuestion: that’s going to happin at all on the show tonight
\nHeigl TVG: Okay.
\nHeigl TVG: Most of our cast is really a fun supportive group of people.
\nHeigl TVG: We’re very passionate about the show.
\nHeigl TVG: Like I said before we laugh a lot.
\nHeigl TVG: It keeps us alive 16 hours a day there.
\nHeigl TVG: So I really have a great time working with most everybody on the
\nshow.
\nHeigl TVG: As far as tonight goes, you get a basic recap for those
\nHeigl TVG: who haven’t seen it before or in order, of everything crutial.
\nHeigl TVG: Somebody dies.
\nHeigl TVG: And we’re introducing new charcters and new plotslines.
