NBC’s “Law & Order” Rules Wednesday<\/strong>

\nWednesday, January 5, 2000.<\/p>\nNBC held on to its Wednesday night (January 5) lead with top ratings for
\n“Law & Order,” pulling an 11.5 rating\/17 share (last week, 8.1\/13). CBS
\nstayed in second with an 8.9\/13 (7.9\/13), thanks to the CBS Wednesday movie,
\n“Sabrina.” FOX landed in third with an 8.5\/13 (5.9\/9) with help from “TV
\nScandals.” ABC took fourth place with high marks from “The Drew Carey Show”
\nbringing in a 7.9\/12 (7.0\/11) for the night. UPN had a 3.4\/5 (3.6\/6) in
\nfifth, while the WB had a 3.1\/5 (2.9\/5) in sixth.<\/p>\nNBC started off the night with the newsmagazine “Dateline,” which pulled a
\n10.3\/16 (8.0\/13). A repeat of “The West Wing” brought a 10.4\/15 (7.0\/11)
\nduring the 9 p.m. hour. At 10 p.m., “Law & Order,” took top honors for the
\nnight with a 14.0\/23 (9.3\/15).<\/p>\nA repeat of “King of Queens” started the night for CBS, pulling a 7.9\/12
\n(last week “Cosby,” 7.6\/12). At 8:30, an encore presentation of the CBS
\nWednesday movie “Sabrina” averaged a 9.1\/14. The movie peaked at 10 p.m.
\nwith a 9.8\/15. (Last week, “King of Queens,” 6.4\/10; “Kennedy Center
\nHonors,” 8.3\/13).<\/p>\nABC led off the night with “Two Guys and A Girl,” pulling a 6.7\/10 (6.1\/10).
\nIt was followed by the recently canceled Chris Eigeman comedy “It’s like,
\nyou know…” which managed a 6.2\/9 (5.3\/9). “The Drew Carey Show” at 9 p.m.
\ntook the highest marks for ABC with a 9.0\/13 (7.8\/12). “Norm” followed at
\n9:30, rising to an 8.0\/12 (6.4\/10). “20\/20” averaged an 8.7\/14 (8.2\/14) to
\nclose out the night.<\/p>\nFOX started the night with “TV Scandals,” at 8p.m. taking a 9.0\/14. This was
\nfollowed by “Greed” at 9 p.m., which nabbed an 8.1\/12. (last week, “Nine
\nMonths,” 5.9\/9).<\/p>\nUPN filled the primetime hours with “7 Days,” logging a 3.5\/5. It was
\nfollowed by “Star Trek Voyager” at 9p.m., which flew in for a 3.3\/5 (last
\nweek, “Roswell: Aliens Attack” 3.6\/6).<\/p>\nA repeat of ” Dawson’s Creek” began the night for The WB, pulling a 3.4\/5
\n(3.1\/5), followed by the teen alien drama “Roswell,” which managed a 2.8\/4
