\nI’m Thunskat, the webmaster of www.roswellitalia.com,
\nthe biggest italian site about Roswell. We already
\nsupported the Save Roswell campaign a few weeks ago,
\nbut now the problem is different. Roswell’s in trouble
\nin Italy.<\/p>\nIt never had a fixed airing day since its first
\nepisode. The TV Network that broadcasts it, “Raidue”,
\nmoved it from wednesday to sunday, then to another
\ntimeslot on sunday, then on tuesday, and then canceled
\nit.<\/p>\nWe sent a fax to the WB, explaining the situation, and
\ntelling our point of view: in our opinion, Raidue was
\nruining WB’s reputation in Italy. (They did a worse
\nthing with Charmed: aired an episode and then canceled
\nit). We got a reply, not from the WB, but from Raidue.
\nThe President of programming wrote us that they had
\n“suspended it, to replace it in a better timeslot in
\nthe future”.<\/p>\nAnybody could say, “well, they’re telling you they’re
\ngonna replace it. Why bother? Just wait!”. Ok, wait
\nfor what? For another “change of timeslot-then change
\nof timeslot-then change of timeslot” and so on? When
\nRaidue moved it, the network DIDN’T MENTION IT in any
\nform, including trailers or info on its official site.
\nWhat a policy, eh? To be more specific: when they
\nmoved Roswell from sunday to tuesday, they *obviously*
\ndidn’t mention it “officially”, but we were able to
\nknow it ONLY 48 HOURS BEFORE the airing of the
\nepisode. This is due to Raidue’s programming policy.<\/p>\nWe’re starting a Letter-to-Raidue campaign, that will
\nhave a slightly modified “We still believe in Roswell”
\nlogo. To put more pressure on Raidue we’ve started
\ndifferent campaigns, including contacting a TV Critic
\nthat writes for an important newspaper in Italy. An
\narticle about Roswell and its programming policy by
\nRaidue appeared today under the eyes of the entire
\nItaly. Plus, radios have started to air “Here with
\nme”, a few of them after our massive email campaign.
\nWe’re contacting other important sources in Italy, but
\nwe need your support for an International spotlight
\nabout the Italian situation. This will put some more
\npressure on Raidue.<\/p>\nI know I’m asking you a huge favor, but could you
\nplease set up a news for us, instead of putting this
\nunder the “Roswell around the world update”? What
\nhappened after the fax to the WB is a clear sign that
\nthat fax meant something. And this could mean
\nsomething more. Plus, I’m starting a Thread on the
