An update on Desmond Askew aka Brody Davis:<\/p>\n
In the American April 2001 issue of FHM, Desmond Askew
\nappears on page 137 in an ensemble picture with
\nClifton Collins Jr., Matt Schulze, and Simon Rex.<\/p>\n
On page 139 is a separate picture of Desmond in an
\norange shirt and the following caption:<\/p>\n
\nDesmond Askew
\nAge: 21
\nStyle: The prickly Brit
\nHistory: After debuting in a Cadbury’s commercial at
\nthe age of 8, Askew went through all the usual British
\nactor rites of passage. But just as the work dried up
\nin London, he landed a plum role in Doug Liman’s Go,
\nand relocationed to Los Angeles. “In London, I
\ncouldn’t get arrested, but here, people were
\ninterested in meeting me just because I was playing
\nSimon in Go.”
\nUp next: Currently shooting a recurring role on the
\nsci-fi hit Roswell, having just completed filming in
\nRepli-Kate, from the makers of American Pie, due out
\nlater in the year.
\nHard luck story: “I’ve done my share of crap in the
\npast. When you’re young you don’t really know good
\nfrom bad. I was also a butcher at a grocery store for
\na while.”
\nOn Hollywood: When I arrived in LA, I steppeed off the
\nplane and went straight into a meeeting on the Sunset
\nStrip with the director of Go. I sat there facing a
\ndozen people auditioning me, trying to concentrate on
\nthe character, and all I’m thinking is, “Fucking hell,
