Roswell further impressed by retaining 100 percent of its female-teen lead-in rating (6.3) from 7th Heaven (2.9/8 in 18-49, 4.3/7 in homes) and 97 percent of its 12-34 lead-in (3.1 vs. 3.2). Roswell was the night’s highest-rated series among total teens, improving on its lead-in from 7th Heaven for the first time.

Roswell has performed credibly for the WB throughout this season, but relations between the network and Fox Television have been strained since that studio’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer cut its ties with the WB to jump to the rival UPN network. Industry speculation suggests the network will respond by cutting loose Fox Television’s Roswell, certainly a more expendable series than Buffy.

Thanks to thicket668 for sending this in!
