The WB Network has placed most of its bets for the upcoming season, giving official pickup orders to six comedies and two dramas.<\/p>\n
The comedy pickups are the Reba McEntire starrer “Deep in the Heart,” from 20th Century Fox TV; Paramount’s male buddy comedy “Men, Women and Dogs”; “Raising Dad,” starring Bob Saget; Warner Bros.\/DreamWorks “Off Centre,” from the “American Pie” team of Paul Weitz and Chris Weitz; and Warner Bros.\/Touchstone’s “Maybe I’m Adopted.” The Warner Bros. comedy “The Young Person’s Guide to Becoming a Rock Star” also was given a midseason order.<\/p>\n
Dramas ordered for the fall schedule were the young Superman vehicle “Smallville,” from Warner Bros. and Tollin-Robbins Prods. and Miramax TV’s “Glory Days,” from “Dawson’s Creek” creator Kevin Williamson. The WB also ordered two new reality series: “Elimidate Deluxe,” from Telepictures Prods., and “Lost in the U.S.A.,” in addition to picking up a second season of “Popstars.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
