\nNBC’s “Law & Order” Nabs First Place For Wednesday

The peacock deftly took first place honors in Wednesday’s (February 16) overnight-metered markets, averaging an 11.5 rating \/17 share (last week, 11.6\/17), thanks to a solid performance from its legal drama, “Law & Order.” CBS came in second with a 9.6\/15 (7.4\/11), getting a boost from part two of its Wednesday movie, “Sally Hemings: An American Scandal.” ABC placed third with high scores from “The Drew Carey Show” helping it to an 8.4\/13 (8.3\/13). FOX pulled up in fourth place with a 6.3\/9 (5.7\/8), getting some help from “Getting Away with Murder: The Jon Benet Ramsey Story.” UPN landed in fifth with a 4.2\/6 (4.4\/7), and the WB wasn’t far behind that with a 4.1\/6(4.2\/6).<\/p>\n
NBC started off the night with “Twenty-One,” earning a 10.0\/15 (9.3\/15) in the 8 p.m. hour. “The West Wing” followed at 9, bringing in a 10.2\/15 (10.5\/16). The political drama was followed by the highest rated show of the night, “Law & Order,” which raked in a solid 14.3\/22 (14.9\/24).<\/p>\n
CBS led off Wednesday with “City of Angels,” which grabbed a 6.9\/11 (6.9\/11). At 9 p.m., part two of the CBS Wednesday night movie “Sally Hemings: An American Scandal” averaged an 11.0\/17, peaking at 10 p.m. with an 11.4\/17. (last week, “A Vision of Murder,” 7.7\/12).<\/p>\n
ABC led off the night with “Two Guys and a Girl,” taking a 7.6\/12 (8.3\/13) at 8 p.m. It was followed by “Norm,” which nabbed a 7.3\/11 (7.3\/11) at 8:30. Next came “The Drew Carey Show,” which scored the best numbers of the night for the alphabet net with a 9.7\/14 (9.6\/14). At 9:30, “Spin City” spun away with an 8.9\/13 (8.7\/13). And rounding out the evening, “20\/20” averaged an 8.5\/14 (8.1\/13).<\/p>\n
FOX started the night with “Beverly Hills, 90210,” logging a 7.0\/11 (6.1\/9). It was followed by “Getting Away with Murder: The Jon Benet Ramsey Story,” which nabbed an 8.1\/12 in the 9 p.m. hour (last week, “TV Guide Behind the Sitcom Scandals,” 6.5\/10).<\/p>\n
UPN filled the primetime hours with “7 Days,” pulling in a 3.5\/5 (3.4\/5). “Star Trek Voyager” followed at 9 p.m., capturing a 4.8\/7 (5.5\/8).<\/p>\n
