Roswell’s SCI FI Crash Is Welcome<\/p>\n
In October, 1999, a world of magic unfolded before our
\neyes as the Roswell pilot came into our homes for the
\nfirst time! People all over the world took this small
\nshow into their hearts and passed on the joy it gave
\nthem through the many charity fan functions and
\nparties that were organized in the show’s name. To
\ndate, approximately $250,000 has been raised by
\nRoswell fans, most of it going to help children in
\nneed and the 9\/11 victims. The Roswell “Healing Hands”
\nquilt, designed and created by fans after 9\/11, was on
\ndisplay in Washington, D.C. through September 2002
\nafter an extensive display tour to numerous other
\nFederal Museums around the United States. The quilt
\nsent to the NYC Police still hangs in their main
\noffice as a reminder of the Roswellians world wide who
\nsent their love, prayers and money to the victims and
\ntheir families.<\/p>\nOn May 14, 2002, Roswell aired for the last time. A
\ngiant emptiness was felt by millions of people around
\nthe world as we bid farewell to the town and
\ncharacters that had come to mean so much to us.<\/p>\nBut now we have good news! On Jan. 13, 2003, the SCI
\nFI Channel will begin airing all three seasons of
\nRoswell! Millions of us are anxiously counting down
\nthe days to this event! We are looking forward to once
\nagain experiencing the magic that is Roswell!<\/p>\nThe fans of Roswell continue to band together, as
\nadditional charity fan functions are currently being
\nplanned. The legacy of caring that has become so
\nwidely associated with Roswell around the world still
\nlives! Events such as the Fan Event SCI FI Premiere
\nParty scheduled to take place in New York City the
\nweekend of Jan. 11 and 12, 2003, the Roswell\/Zeke
\nLerner Bowl-a-Thon in Los Angeles in February, and the
\nRoswell Convention in Australia, all have proceeds
\ndirected towards Roswell fans’ current children’s
\ncharity project, FSMA (Families of Spinal Muscular
\nAtrophy). These events will not only be attended by
\nthousands of fans world wide, but also members of the
\nRoswell cast. The true magic of Roswell continues!<\/p>\nThe SCI FI Channel is watched by millions of people
\nwho love science-fiction programming. Many of these
\nviewers have never experienced the world of Roswell!
\nWe, the established fans of Roswell, are doing all we
\ncan to help promote the airing of the series on SCI
\nFI! The CRAVE Campaign echoes the voices of millions
\nwho anxiously await the premiere of Roswell on SCI FI!
\nThey are currently raising funds to place an ad in
\nVariety magazine to increase awareness of, and
\ngenerate publicity for, SCI FI’s reairing of the full
\nthree seasons of the series. It is hoped that millions
\nof new fans will join our family and help to convince
\nSCI FI to continue this wonderful story in some way.
