Lauren Graham joined the Jason Katims NBC project “Parenthood”. EW’s “Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on ‘Glee,’ ‘Grey’s,’ ‘NCIS,’ ‘Lost,’ and more!” which was published October 28, 2009 features a question about the midseason series:<\/p>\n
Question: I love Lauren Graham just as much as you do! And I\u2019m glad you got to interview her about Parenthood, but I want more! I\u2019m greedy! \u2014 Elizabeth<\/strong>
\nAusiello: If it\u2019s more you want, it\u2019s more you shall get. Parenthood boss Jason Katims tells me that Graham\u2019s single mom Sarah will differ slightly from the version Maura Tierney played in the pilot. \u201cWe were very much writing for Maura and in Maura\u2019s voice, so there will be adjustments because of who Lauren is as an actress,\u201d he says. \u201cBut it\u2019s not like we\u2019re completely reinventing anything.\u201d Although he concedes that the circumstances under which Graham landed the role were \u201cnot good\u201d (Tierney left to undergo treatment for breast cancer), Katims says he\u2019s \u201cextremely excited\u201d to be working with LG. \u201cI love her work,\u201d he raves, \u201cand I\u2019m just so excited about what she\u2019ll bring to the show and her enthusiasm for the project.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\nEntertainment Weekly spoke with the actress, too.
