Australian actress Emilie de Ravin is going to play a character named Judith in the procuction “Beard’s Creek” which is directed by Tom Donahue.<\/p>\n
The story centers on three lonely children growing up in the backwoods Georgia swamps in 1956 escape from their lives into a fantastic imaginary world – until they find a murdered corpse in the swamps and their make-believe turns into a shocking and dangerous reality.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Dark Horizions Tom Donahue spoke about the psychological thriller. <\/p>\n
Question: What\u2019s the psychological thriller about?
\nDonahue: It\u2019s about three kids in Louisiana in the 1950s, who find a dead body. It\u2019s kind of Stand By Me meets Night of the Hunter. It\u2019s really, really well-written. I did not write it.<\/p>\nQuestion: Do you have a title?
\nDonahue: Yeah, it\u2019s called Beard\u2019s Creek.<\/p>\nQuestion: And a cast?
\nDonahue: It\u2019s Stuart Townsend, who played Lestat in Interview with a Vampire and also, Emilie De Ravin, who\u2019s one of the stars of Lost.<\/p>\nQuestion: Oh, that\u2019s interesting and I presume it\u2019s an indie.
\nDonahue: Oh, yeah. It\u2019s like \u2013 you know, under \u2013 well, I shouldn\u2019t say how much, but, under Hollywood budget.<\/p>\nQuestion: Are you going to try and get it ready in time for the festivals?
\nDonahue: Well, we\u2019re still getting the finance \u2013 we lost the financing because of the financial crisis. And we\u2019ll try to cobble it back together.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
