\n‘Roswell,’ ‘Felicity’ avoid expulsion<\/strong>

WB is keeping its Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday schedules intact, renewing both Felicity and Roswell, while adding six series on other nights, including two from rival networks: ABC’s Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Fox’s clay-animated The PJs, featuring the voice of Eddie Murphy.<\/p>\n

\nFelicity will return on Wednesdays without repeats. Eleven episodes air in the fall, then the show goes on hiatus. Jack & Jill fills the time slot for 13 episodes beginning in January. In the spring, 11 additional Felicity episodes are scheduled. (The serialized Felicity has performed poorly in reruns.)<\/p>\nIn schedule shifts, Popular moves to Friday, and WB’s returning black- focused sitcoms move to Sunday.<\/p>\n
After the demise of ABC’s “TGIF” kid block, longtime anchor Sabrina will lead off Friday nights for WB, and The PJs will launch WB’s Sunday schedule.<\/p>\n
The four original new shows:<\/p>\n
Gilmore Girls, about a young, single mother and her teenage daughter, to be paired with Charmed on Thursdays.<\/p>\n
Grosse Pointe, a comedy that goes behind the scenes at an over-the-top prime-time soap, to follow Sabrina.<\/p>\n
Hype, a sketch-comedy series with 10 performers satirizing pop culture and entertainment figures.<\/p>\n
Nikki, a sitcom starring Nikki Cox (Unhappily Ever After, Norm) as a young Las Vegas showgirl newly married to a pro wrestler. It’s from producer Bruce Helford (The Drew Carey Show, Norm).<\/p>\n
Leaving the schedule, as expected, are Movie Stars, Zoe and 7th Heaven: Beginnings, the Sunday rerun of the network’s most watched series.<\/p>\n
