DVD is ringing with the sound of music. From hip hop to opera, 321 music
DVD’s have been released during the first nine months of this year, Now comes
BMG Entertainment’s Arista Records, which has joined both Warner and
Ryko/Palm in bringing DVD video singles to market. While the latter two have
done so one at a time, Arstia jumps in with a full slate of seven releases on
Nov. 21 at $9.98 each. Arista senior v.p. sales Jordan Katz says the “crosses
all the most popular music genres and will appeal to a broad demographic.”
Leading the way is the female singing sensation Dido, with the DVD release of
Dido: Here with Me. Plucked from her current debut album No Angel, the video
will be recognized by “Roswell” fans as the show’s theme song. A bonus live
performance track, “Thank You” is also included.

I was flipping through the newest Rolling Stone that came today in the mail, and on page 113 is a huge page size picture of Dido as one of the “People of the year”. below her is a caption that reads: “The cheerful girl with the sad voice.” In the pic she is wearing a pinkish top and there seem to be sworls of color around her. Moby is on the page opposite her. on the next page after, there is a full article on her.

i have a small piece of Dido news. i recently saw a commercial on MuchMusic in Canada and Dido will be featured on the Women & Songs 4 cd. i believe the release date is tuesday, nov 28th.
