Sex And The City… And Roswell??
Thanks to Kristina, Sun Girl 644, Dindin84 and everyone else who sent this in:
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Last season’s Tabasco sauce campaign to save the WB
drama Roswell has inspired two camps of Sex and the City fans. Defenders of
heartbreaker Mr. Big (Chris Noth) are mailing show producers red paint
swatches (Big painted his bedroom red last season), while Aidan advocates,
who want Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) to reunite with furniture maker Aidan
(John Corbett), have sent in pieces of wood and small wooden chairs that say
‘Don’t Leave Aidan Unfinished.’ (Sex’s fourth season starts in June.) “We’d
[already] decided to bring Aidan back,” executive producer Michael Patrick
King tells this week’s TV Guide. “It’s a good sign that our instincts [are
right].” And Big? “He will always hang over Carrie as a really important
trigger.” Take that as a Big yes.http://www.tvguide.com/newsgossip/inthenews/
Thanks to Pam for this:
This morning on the Alice 97.3 FM Sara and Vinnie morning show(one of the
major morning shows in the SF Bay Area) they asked about the connection
between Roswell and Tabasco. I called in and explained about the fan
campaign last season, the pod squad using Tabasco in the show, and managed to
fit in a BIG plug for the show. Should have reached many ears as this
morning show was a large audience and they aired it right before 8 am.

I don’t knowif you can use this or not, but it certainly woke me up to hear
this at 7:30 this morning. :-)On a local San Francisco Radio Station – KLLC at FM 97.3 – the morning DJs
were discussing the “famous” tabasco campaign which saved Roswell. They were
talking about it in the context of “Sex and the City” – apparently, fans of
“Sex….” are copying Roswell fans by sending the producers of “Sex…”
various items to illustrate their support for some of the characters, which
may be on the chopping block. The DJs said all television fans took note of
the success of the great tabasco campaign, and many of them have adapted it
to try to save their own favorite shows, or characters on their favorite show.
