TOPPING NBC, ABC AND UPN

BURBANK, CA (October 3, 2000) The WB’s Monday night line-up of 7TH
HEAVEN and ROSWELL had an outstanding start to its 2000-2001 season
showing across-the-board, year-to-year growth in the network’s target
demographics, despite being compared to last season’s premieres which were
available on the WGN SuperStation.

Both shows compared favorably to last season’s Monday night premieres in
Persons 12-34, females 12-34, adults 18-34, women 18-34 and female teens.
7TH HEAVEN scored a 3.5/11 in persons 12-34 (compared to a 3.4/11) last
season; a 4.8/14 in females 12-34 (4.6/14 last season); a 3.3/9 in women
18-34 (3.2/9 last season); a 6.5/21 in teens (6.3/20 last season) and a
9.0/29 in female teens (8.6/29 last season). The WB’s highest-rated show
also tied last season’s output in adults 18-34 (2.4/7) and male teens
(4.1/13).

ROSWELL also topped last season’s debut of “Safe Harbor” across
demographic lines. ROSWELL achieved a 2.4/6 in Persons 12-34 compared to
a 2.1/6 last season; a 3.4/9 in females 12-34 (2.7/7 last season); a 1.8/5
in adults 18-34 (1.4/4 last season); a 2.5/6 in women 18-34 (1.8/4 last
season); a 1.1/3 in men 18-34 (0.9/3 last season); a 4.1/3 in teens
(4.1/12 last season) and a 6.1/19 in female teens (5.2/17 last season).

The WB finished the night with an average in 5.3/17 in teens, 3.2/10 in
male teens and 7.5/24 in female teens, which were all bests of the night
amongst all networks. The demo stories don’t end there. For the night,
in its target audience of females 12-34, The WB also topped NBC, which
premiered four series, ABC and UPN by scoring a 4.1/11.
