“Gilmore Girls” Limited Series Revival Ordered by Netflix

Last year, “Roswell” fans from all over the world headed to Austin. This year, the ATX Television Festival had another fun reunion panel scheduled.

In June 2015, many dedicated “Gilmore Girls” fans took a trip to Austin, Texas in order to attend the ATX Television Festival Season 4, which hosted the the 15th Anniversary Gilmore Girls reunion panel. The creator, actors and fans took a stroll down memory lane and of course the question about a movie was asked.

Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said to the audience “There’s nothing in the works at the moment. Nobody here hates each other. That’s a very important step. It would have to be the right everything — right format, timing, budget — it would have to be honored in a certain way. If it ever came around, I think we would all jump in and do it.”

Stars Hollow’s Luke – Scott Patterson – agreed “I think it’s kind of time, don’cha think?”

And the time is now!

Sources confirmed to TV Line, that Netflix has closed a deal with Warner Bros. for a limited-series revival of Gilmore Girls penned by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino.

[…] Although negotiations with the cast are only now beginning, I’m told all of the major players — most notably Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson — are expected back for the continuation. Additionally, per multiple insiders, the revival will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies. […]
