Roswell Soundtrack

The official Roswell Soundtrack was released in 2002 and includes twelve songs which played in the television series. Besides the theme song “Here With Me” by Dido songs from season one, two and three can be found on the album. In addition, the disc has some special features like official wallpapers on it.

01. Dido – Here With Me

#122 Destiny
 With the help of the Communicators the aliens get a message from Max’ and Isabels’ real mother. She tells them about their destiny. Liz heart breaks, when she must hear that there’s no place for her, because it’s Tess who belongs to Max. This song plays at the end of the final episode of season one. Liz walks away from Max, leaving him to fullfill his “Destiny”. It is the theme song of the series, too.

02. Sense Field – Save Yourself

#314 Chant Down Babylon
 During the escape from the Metachem factory, Isabel gets wounded. In order to prevent that Jesse calls an ambulance Michael tells him about their origin. Clayton Wheeler, the sick owner of the chemistry factory is in Max body. The song plays in the scene inwhich Liz leaves Maria to think about Max’s death. It also plays at the end of the episode, as Maria, Max, and Liz walk together. Actress Shiri Appleby, who portraits Liz Parker, is in the bands music video. Unfortunatly “Save Yourself” was replaced due to lisence reasons on the DVD. Neva Dinova’s “Did You Disappoint Your God?” has been used for the DVD and streaming version of the show.

03. Ivy – Edge Of The Ocean (Duotone Mix)

#306 To Have And To Hold
 In the wedding episode To Have And To Hold of season three Ivy’s “Digging Your Scene” was replaced and Aberdeen with their song “Handsome Drink” was used instead. But the romantic song “Edge Of The Ocean” of Ivy played at the wedding Reception of Isabel and Jesse. The band played themself on the show and performed at the wedding.

04. Coldplay – Brothers & Sisters

#316 Crash
 Michael sees the crash of an UFO with a fighter plane in the desert. The government wants to hush up the incident and announces the crashed pilots is dead. With the assistance of Connie Griffin, the daughter of the pilot, Michael tries to find out the truth.. at the end of the episode Isabel’s parents find out about her powers. “Brothers & Sisters” by Coldplay plays in that scene. On the DVD it was replaced with Neva Dinova’s “Dances Fantastic”.

05. Ash – Shining Light

#318 Graduation
 Liz has visions about future events, which get proved as correct. When she sees Max, Michael, Isabel and herself get killed they all have to act fast. “Shining Light” is the very last song that played on the series. It plays in the last scene of the Graduation episode after Liz and Max wedding. The friends drive away in their van.

06. Sarah McLachLan – Fear (Hybrid’s Super Collidor Mix)

#101 Pilot
 With the descicion to save the life of Liz Parker with his alien abilities, Max Evans has to live in fear about saving his secret. “Fear” plays in the healing scene, when Max makes the connection and sees lots of images of Liz, in the opening of Roswell. This song can be heard later again, when Liz can see the ‘real’ Max via a connection.

07. Zero 7 – Destiny

#317 Four Aliens And A Baby
 “Destiny” by Zero 7 from the album “Simple Things” plays in the season three episode Four Aliens And A Baby when Max and Liz are making out. It also plays at the Ramirez apartment after Isabels parents call them to come for dinner and they argue. On the DVDs this song was replaced. Smooth’s “Floating” plays instead.

 Liz feels strange alien-like changes in her body and senses. She assumes, that this are aftereffect of the healing. Max tries to help her again.. without success. “More Than Us” by Travis plays in the final scene of the season three episode Ch..Ch..Changes, when Liz goes to boarding school.

09. Sheryl Crowe – I Shall Believe

#205 The End Of The World
 In the shows second season Liz meets Future Max. He aks her to break up with Present Max, because their love would endanger the future of the entire mankind. Although Liz is devastated, she develops a plan to break Max’s heart so much that he can never forgive Liz thus to change the fate of the aliens. Since Liz changed the future she asked Future Max for her wedding dance. “I Shall Believe” by Sheryl Crow plays while Liz and Future Max dance on the balcony. Future Max twirls Liz and she spins around by herself. When she stops spinning, she realizes that Future Max has disappeared. The episode ends with her looking upward at the night sky and seeing a shooting star. The song can be found on the album “Tuesday night music club” from 1994.

10. Doves – Blackbird

#221 The Departure
 The four aliens will leave the earth forever. They say goodbye to their friends and family, while Max looks out for Alex killer who is still out there and threatens the live of the friends. But only Liz, Maria and Kyle can expose the killer. “Blackbird” by Doves plays right after Michael and Maria’s “huge step in alien relations.” The song is a Beatles cover. On the DVD the song “Shoulder” by Cactus Groove can be found.

11. Stereophonics – Have A Nice Day

#302 Michael, The Guys And The Great Snapple Caper
 In each season a song by the Stereophonics can be found. “Have A Nice Day” made it on the soundtrack. This song plays in the second episode of season three. Liz is not allowed to see Max after their ‘little’ trip to Utah. This song plays when Liz receives the secret comic message in the Crashdown. Max tells her via alien comic strip bubbles to meet him in the Crashdown kitchen. On the DVD this song has been replaced by 60 Cycle Hum’s “East of Eden”.

Liz gets a message from Max via alien comic strip bubbles on the wall.
