Star Trekker Frakes Returns To “Roswell”
Tue, Jan 25, 2000 10:58 AM PSTLOS ANGELES (UltimateTV.com) – Jonathan Frakes (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”) returns to “Roswell” in February. Frakes, a producer on the WB’s hit teen SF series, appeared in the pilot and now will return for a cameo, playing himself.
Frakes is also teaming up with Dean Devlin, who, with Roland Emmerich, was behind “Independence Day” and “Godzilla.” For Devlin’s Centropolis Entertainment, Frakes is making an SF spoof called “Steve Was Here,” about a depressed town that stages a phony alien landing, but gets more than it bargained for. Devlin and Frakes knew each other as actors before Frakes’ “Trek” days and before Devlin teamed with Emmerich.
Frakes is also set to direct “Total Recall 2.”
