Roswell Campaign Gets Heated
Fans of WB’s Roswell, desperate to see the show win a second season, aren’t afraid to let the debate get hot. In fact, the New York Post reports that readers of crashdown.com, a Roswell fan site, are sending network executives bottles of Tabasco sauce as part of their letter-writing campaign. (The show’s young angst-filled aliens put the hot sauce on everything.)
Is it working? Well, the network is moving the series to Monday nights following the hit show 7th Heaven, but perhaps more importantly, “[The campaign] immediately brought a smile to our face,” said WB spokesman Brad Turrell. “It was a pleasant surprise to see people who are passionate about our programming. We’ve still got plenty of Tabasco left over here for a chili cook-off.” WB will announce its fall lineup next month. – Tracy Allen
