More On The Music On Roswell – Ivy
Thanks to Iris for this:
Just wanted to let you know a bit more about the band behind the official breakup of are star crossed lovers Liz and Max. They are Ivy. And the album is yet to be released in the states (due out in summer from Nettwerk label–go figure… they’re Sarah McLachlan’s label)
Anyway two of their songs were featured: Worry about you and Undertow. Here are the lyrics:
Worry About YouBye bye baby.
Don’t be long.
I’ll worry about you while you’re gone.
Bye bye baby.
Don’t be long.
I’ll worry about you while you’re gone.I’ll think of you in my dreams.
You’ll never know just what you mean to me…..
….to me.Hmmm, ba, ba-da…
Hmmm, ba, ba, ba-da……Bye bye baby.
Don’t be long.
I’ll worry about you while you’re gone.
Bye bye baby.
Don’t be long.
I’ll worry about you while you’re gone.I’ll think of you night and day.
I’ll never know just what you meant to say….
….to say.Hmmm, ba, ba-da…
Hmmm, ba, ba, ba-da……
Hmmm, ba, ba-da…
Hmmm, ba, ba, ba-da……Undertow
Standing by yourself.
High on the hills above the ocean.
This is where you’d come to walk with your friends.
Strange how it leaves you with no emotion. You can’t fight the undertow.
Not when you’re all alone.
You can’t fight the undertow.
How long ’til you let go?Taking one step back.
Trying to pull yourself together.
No matter what you say nothing you do
can hold back the forces on you forever. You can’t fight the undertow.
Not when you’re all alone.
You can’t fight the undertow.
How long ’til you let go?I think they fit the episode very well… when Liz spies the kiss that ends it all–pardon me while I sob–the lyrics play…”ot when your all alone…” and “How long till you let go. Words couldn’t break them as much as actions and what an action.
This episode is one that has the feel of the old roswell episodes that got me excited about the show… it had humour and sorrow and Liz writing in that journal once again, though on a happenstance I wish didn’t happen:(
