Nelly spreads wings on Roswell

Red hot singer/songwriter Nelly Furtado is about to add actress to her resume.

The Victoria-born Furtado, 22, has just taped an appearance on the sci-fi teen drama Roswell.

The Juno Award-winning singer will perform her hit single I’m Like A Bird on the second-year series when it airs Tuesday, May 8 at 8 p.m. on CITY.

The L.A.-based production stars another Canadian, Brendan Fehr, as one of three teenagers who are the descendants of aliens who crashed into the New Mexico desert in 1947. (More on Nelly Furtado and Roswell)
