“Parental Disretion Adviced” aka “Light Years” picked up!
CW announced its fall schedule. “Light Years” starring Shiri Appleby and Kerr Smith has been picked up as mid-season drama.
Three new series will air this fall on the network: “Melrose Place,” “The Beautiful Life” and “The Vampire Diaries.” The series about the girl Lux will premiere during mid-season 2010. The title “Light Years” refers to the girls name Lux which means ‘light’, but it has changed to “Parental Discretion Advised”.

In an interview with MoviesOnline Shiri Appleby’s co-star, Kerr Smith, talked a bit more about the pilot:
[…] We have a radio show and it’s all about bantering about politics, any subject we can. But, behind the scenes, we’re dating. In the pilot, I ask her to marry me. In the process of that, she has a child that shows up out of nowhere that she gave away back in high school and this child is now 15 years old.
