Nick Joins Amazon‘s The Boys

“Yay Kyle finally has powers!”, wrote Crashdown‘s appreciated follower Rose on one of our social media pages as a reaction to an amazing casting announcement:
Nick Wechsler joins the third season of the Amazon Prime Video show. He will be playing the Supe Blue Hawk in a recurring role.
The character can not be found in the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson the show is based on.
The Amazon Prime Video drama focuses on super powered individuals who work for the powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them.
THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.
Eric Kripke, a co-creator and executive producer on “Supernatural” who helms “The Boys”, reunited with Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy, a Captain America-like icon, this season.
Miles Gaston Villanueva and Sean Patrick Flannery are joining the cast too.
Maybe Blue Hawk is a guy named Kyle? So or so a brand new character gives comic fans the opportunity to get to know a character they haven’t heard anything about before.
Production began in February in Toronto and wrapped in September. A premiere date for the third season of “The Boys” has not yet been revealed at this date, yet.
