FANS RALLY FOR ROSWELL:
We hate to kick you while you’re down, but Freaks and Geeks may not be the only quality teen show you mourn this year. The WB’s extraterrestrial drama Roswell is also in danger of being dropped, and the show’s following has found a creative way to express their loyalty — they’re saying it with Tabasco sauce. Showing their support for the sci-fi series, hundreds of viewer-sent bottles of the spicy stuff favored by the TV aliens are crowding the WB offices. While we hope the execs are swayed by the show’s small but incredibly vocal fan base, the same tactic didn’t work for Freaks and Geeks enthusiasts. But the WB has backed other shows which started off with low-ratings (like 7th Heaven) so there’s still a glimmer of hope for our alien friends.
