Tiffani Thiessen, Julie Benz, Majandra Delfino (Roswell), Tom Arnold and Coolio line up to be sliced and diced in this slasher-movie spoof. While Scream pointed out the rules of a horror movie, this sometimes funny farce lays out the rules of a horror-movie parody: exaggerate everything, accept the ridiculous as logical, the use of sexual sight gags is always funny, point out the obvious and perpetuate painful stereotypes. The script, by Sue Baily and Joe Nelms, follows these rules a bit too closely — it seems like a homework assignment for Airplane! 101. But in some ways this spoof is more clever and certainly less mean-spirited than the recent theatrical comedy hit Scary Movie. Sure, it has breast-implant and masturbation jokes galore, but it has a brain, too. The Psycho shower scene send-up is especially cute. And how can you resist a killer who sends notes that read: “I Know What You Did Last Chanukah”? (Made for cable) —Len P. Feldman
