In January 2006 we reported that Colin Hanks, Luke Wilson, Emily Mortimer, Billy Dee Williams and Amy Adams were set to star in Chris D’Arienzo’s romantic comedy “Barry Munday”.
But unfortunately it was never made.
Now, since the cast went separate ways ropeofsilicon.com reports with reference to Variety that D’Arienzo tries to fill the cast once again.
It’s not known, if Colin will be a part of this project. Colin Hanks was listed to play a character named ‘Heavy Metal Greg’.
The movie “Barry Munday” is based on Frank Turner Hollon’s novel “Life is a Strange Place.” The story concerns a womanizer who wakes up sans his “family jewels” after an irate father attacks him with a trumpet. Things go from bad to worse for the title character when he learns that he’s being sued for paternity by a woman he can’t even remember having sex with.
The filming is set to begin Los Angeles in April.
