“Dating Rules” Season 2 Premiere

Back in June, Shiri Appleby attended the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas. She attended the “Life Unexpected” screening, an actors roundtable as well as a panel about web content, where she spoke about the Alloy web-series “Dating Rules From My Future Self”.

In the first season of the show, Shiri played app-designer Lucy Lambert, a twenty-something looking for love with the help of her two best friends and secret texts from her future self. Mircea Monroe, Alison Becker Taylor Kinney and Martin Starr were starring and Shiri also served as producer.

Via Twitter, Shiri posted a photo from the production meeting (May 30th, 2012) and she revealed that she is directing this year. When Shiri spoke to The CW Austin, she explained “I wanted to direct for a long time and they gave me the opportunity. So, I’m really looking forward to it.”

From the moment they set foot on the red carpet , all the stars talked about how excited they were to be at the ATX Television Festival. Veteran actress Shiri Appleby told us what she was excited about, how she feels about Austin, and what she’s working on next.

Season two features a different cast of characters. “The Vampire Diaries” star Candice Accola plays Chloe Cunninham and she gets texts from her older and wiser self.

Shiri Appleby returns for a guest appearance. Leah Rachel, Lindsey Kraft, Toby Meuli, Travis Van Winkle, Reid Ewing, Kavan Reece and Jay Hayden are also starring.

The new season premieres on August 2nd, 2012.
