What Is The Cast Up To in 2013?

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Thank you for an amazing year!

The new year will bring us some great new projects with appearances by the former Roswell cast! We’re very excited for you to come along for the ride. It’s going to be great!

Shiri Appleby guest stars on HBO’s “Girls” and she is going to appear on “Chicago Fire” again. In 2012 Shiri produced and directed for the first time. In addition, she has a book project in the works. We can’t wait to find out more about her other projects, but coming soon is her biggest project ever. Shiri and her finacé are becoming first time parents this March. In 2013’s holiday season we can see Shiri in the movie “All American Christmas Carol”, which is scheduled to hit theaters.

For a short time Jason Behr came back to our television screen, last year. He had a recurring role on A&E’s “Breakout Kings”. Jason played bad boy Damien, a convicted rapist and murderer who manages to escape from prison with the help of an adoring sycophant. He appeared in five episodes of the show. Jason Behr is on our “TV stars we miss” list and we hope to see more of him in the new year.

In 2012 Katherine Heigl welcomed her second daughter. The little baby girl is named Adalaide Marie Hope and joined the Heigl-Kelley family through domestic adoption. This spring, we are going to see Katherine on the big-screen again. “The Big Wedding” will hit theaters. She stars alongside Robert De Niro and Susan Sarandon. Another upcoming project is the comedy feature “The Nut Job”. For the first time in her career, she will lend her voice to an animated character. In December 2012, Katherine launched her newest venture, “Just One”, which features a line of specially designed pet products. A portion of each sale will support animal welfare efforts and programs.

This year, Majandra Delfino worked on two pilots. “The Family Trap” was an ABC comedy pilot with Mandy Moore in the lead. Majandra starred as one of her sisters. Sadly, the show was not picked up. Unfortunately, NBC passed on the spin-off “The Farm” about Rainn Wilson’s character Dwight Schrute, as well. Majandra played Dwight’s younger sister Frannie in “The Farm” pilot. A good thing is that we’ll see some parts of the pilot. It will air during “The Office’s” final season. It is going to air as modified “The Office” episode. Majandra and her husband David Walton welcomed their daughter Cecilia Delphine on Thursday June 14, 2012.

We cross our fingers for Brendan Fehr‘s pilot “After Hours”. It will be decided whether “After Hours” gets picked up or not in pilot season. In addition, some of his movie projects are expected to be released in 2013. “Stranded” with Christian Slater was picked up for U.S. release and Entertainment One prepares to distribute the horror movie “13 Eerie”. The romantic comedy “Roswell FM” is currently in post-production. A first trailer was released in December 2012. According to the official Facebook page, the film was submitted to Tribeca recently. Last summer, Brendan filmed “Zarra’s Law” in New York. In the thriller from director Juha Wuolijoki, Tony Sirico playing Brendan’s uncle. “Zarra’s Law”, written and produced by Joseph Scarpinito for Scarpe Diem Productions, tells a classic family vengeance story. After that, Brendan was cast as Orion Smith in “Only I”. The independent feature film gives a dramatic insight into the mind of a MMA fighter. The movie is in post-production, as well.

Nick Wechsler plays Jack Porter on ABC’s hit show “Revenge”. The show is going to return on January 6th, 2013 at 9|8c. The actor is no big fan of the social media, but he finally has an official Facebook fan page which is run by his publicist.

William Sadler is a busy, busy man. In 2012, he worked on many different projects. William played Andrew Carnegie in the pilot “Gilded Lilys” about the story of the first luxury hotel built in New York City in 1895. “Gilded Lilys” was executive-produced by Shonda Rhimes. Sadly, the period drama has not been picked up by ABC. He recently filmed a western called “Something Whispered”. In addition, he worked on the independent thriller “The Suspect”. The film is based on a script from Stuart Connelly. The cast includes Mekhi Phifer, James McCaffrey, Rebecca Creskoff and Sterling K. Brown. On “Machete Kills” William plays Sheriff Doakes. The star studded movie will hit theaters this year. Another big hit: William Sadler has a role in the superhero movie “Iron Man 3”. He is going to appear in CBS’s midseason cop drama “Golden Boy” with Holt McCallany and Chi McBride. The show will debut on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 10 pm ET.

Colin Hanks recently appeared in “The Guild Trip”. The story follows an inventor (Seth Rogen) and his mom (Barbra Streisand) on a cross-country trip. Colin has a small supporting role in the comedy. He plays Yvonne Strahovski’s husband Rob. Last year, he made several guest appearences on internet talk shows and he re-united with Shiri Appleby for a project. Shiri directed a short for Yahoo’s weekly comedy series “Sketchy” in which Colin Hanks and Alison Becker played the lead roles. Next for Colin: He will guest star on “The Thrilling Adventure Hour” again. Colin will also continue working on his “Tower Records Documentary” in 2013.

In 2013, Emilie de Ravin will star in the Aussie War Drama “The 34th Battalion”. She is set to play the wife of Nick Farnell’s character, one of four men from Maitland in rural New South Wales who joined the Army in 1916 after the disastrous Gallipoli campaign. In 2012 Emilie joined the cast of the upcoming mini-series “Air Force One Is Down”. Jacob Cedertun, Jamie King and Jeremy Sisto are also starring. We still don’t know which network will air the series. In 2013 fans can see Emilie as Belle on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” on Sundays. The show returns January 6th at 8|7c.

In October 2012 Adam Rodriguez joined the cast of “About Last Night”. The film is a remake of the 1986 comedy with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore. In the revamped version, Joy Bryant, Michael Ealy and Kevin Hart are starring. In early 2013, fans can see Adam in a recurring role on FOX’s new show “The Goodwin Games”, about three grown siblings who return home after their father’s death and unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit a vast fortune.
