Why You Should Be Participating In The #NETFLIXforBandT Campaigns
BARON + TOLUCA may be the only way we can get some” Roswell Familiarity” back for a while….
NETFLIX has been a platform that has not only reinvented television but brought back some beloved shows in fear of being cancelled to be renewed and became very successful. Take for example, “Arrested Development” and “The Killing”; two shows that were cancelled by FOX. NETFLIX decides to pick up the shows by giving them another season- and guess what? It was a smart strategy by NETFLIX because it did well!
Let’s not also forget that NETFLIX is bringing some great shows back from the dead too like “Fuller House” and “Gilmore Girls”.
Which brings me to the talented dynamic duo Majandra Delfino and Brendan Fehr. They played Maria Deluca and Michael Guerin respecitively on Roswell. Fans of the show know these two characters as M&M or the “Candy” couple. As two actors that really love their fans, they made their own show BARON + TOLUCA (haha get it GUERIN + DELUCA—rhymes!), that should give something back to Roswell fans to satisfy their longings for their beloved Roswell.
While taking up a new persona, and keeping their identity, the show, B+T, will provide fans with a lot of familiarity. We will have two new characters to learn to love, and will see ‘chemistry’ mirroring that of the Roswell couple, M&M; they will have new names, and brand new persona. Thus Majandra and Brendan are taking their project to NETFLIX for the greenlight.
This is why the #NETFLIXforBandT campaigns should be supported and why any Roswell, Sci-Fi, Paranomal, “Likes Good TV in General”, fans should participate in the B+T tweet-a-thons aimed at NETFLIX. Want to see Liz and Max make an appearance perhaps as the “BEVANS” with maybe little “BEVANS”? Then you need to tweet. Want to see that magic “M&M” chemistry on Roswell reappear again? Then you will if you tweet, and see it reappear as BARON + TOLUCA. Want to see those awesome Vasquez Rocks on your screen again? Then you need to Tweet. Will Katherine Heigl and Colin Hanks appear or direct? Then you need to Tweet.
If you’ve been thinking that BARON + TOLUCA will only suffice the “Candy”-shippers – THINK AGAIN. This opens the door to many more prospects of Roswell familiarties being resurrected. It just so happens to be that Majandra and Brendan are actively doing something about it, and they also understand their fans want to see other cast members from Roswell be a part of the process as well.
But let’s also be mindful that BARON + TOLUCA is its own entity too apart from Roswell. We need more SCI FI and PARANORMAL SHOWS that show integral relationship stories. “Stranger Things”, and the “X-Files”, “Walking Dead” and “Vampire Diaries” are all about these genres. These are great shows people want to see, and BARON + TOLUCA is right up there with them. Here is a little video that explains what BARON + TOLUCA is!
