Roswell Not Cancelled – Bad April Fool’s Joke

Apparently, one of the Roswell Newsletters decided that today was a great day to do something with out thinking about it. Roswell has not been cancelled. This press release appears on the WB today. Thanks to Chaz for noticing it.

We at The WB are very optimistic that ROSWELL will generate improved ratings in its new timeslot of Monday nights at 9:00 ET beginning Monday April 10. The network is spending a great deal of promotional dollars in an effort to get the word out that ROSWELL is moving to Monday nights, airing only original episodes the rest of the season.

No announcement on ROSWELL’S future will be made until May 16 when the network announces its new fall schedule. The enormous outpouring of support for the show by its fans has certainly had an influence on us and we hope that enthusiasm translates to great ratings on Monday nights.
