Welcome again to the Roswell Newsletter! This newsletter is designed by the Campaign Crew in an effort to keep Roswell fans up-to-date on all campaign information – here you will find the most up to date campaigns, ideas, and campaign info. This newletter is an important tool to remind fans of what must be done to secure a 3rd season. It is IMPERATIVE that all fans ACT NOW!!!!!

We MUST act now!
There is only ONE February sweeps episode left! The WB execs will be paying very close attention to Roswell’s ratings! There is SO MUCH campaigning to do and SO LITTLE time! We MUST have higher ratings! PLEASE read this newsletter carefully and do as much as you can! We also ask you to print out this newsletter and give it to any fans that do not get it, or may not go online often. If ratings do not improve, the future of the show is in SERIOUS JEOPARDY!!!!! The ratings for “Viva Las Vegas” must be much higher!! Start recruiting NOW!!!! Please everyone: We can’t express in writing how CRITICAL this is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need “Ratings: Las Vegas Style”
Sublime Muffin offered the great idea of sending e-mails to all of your family, friends, etc. and asking them to send e-mails to people that they know. This would be sort of like a chain letter. We need to do something quick. The Campaign Crew is desperate now!!!!! Read about it and other recruitment strategies for VLV here:

Please post why Roswell is so special to you.
Several of the best responses will be selected for the next newsletter. If
the thread get’s big enough, we will be sending it to TPTB at The WB
Television Network, so please get your post up there. Also feel free to
include specific examples from “How the Other Half Lives” or another
Please continue to spend as much time campaigning as you can. We realize
that everyone is really busy, but please make some time for this. It’s
incredibly important. Remember to follow the tips that we recommend in the
newsletter. Keep recruiting! It’s the only way that we can get the
ratings high enough to secure a 3rd season.

As an incentive for more 7th Heaven fans to watch Roswell, we started a contest for those 7th Heaven fans that tune in to Roswell for the first time, beginning with the Monday night February 19th episode, “How The Other Half Lives”. After watching episodes on the 19th and 26th, they can go to this site to take a quiz on what happened in the episode and be eligible to win a gift certificate based on answering questions correctly:

Make business cards and distribute them. They can be ordered through various printing companies. Those that are computer savvy can create their own. **You can even just write down the pertinent info for tuning into Roswell on the back of your own business cards!** Please send these cards in any mailings that you do. Leave them with the tip when you dine out. Post them on bulletin boards. Pass them out to potential Roswell viewers. Distribute them as creatively as possible!

An ambitious group of Roswell fans have decided to take the Roswell message to the city streets. Please check out the link below and join them. This is so important for getting the word out about the show. Getting people who don’t know about the show hooked is an important aspect of campaigning. In fact, it could get us our 3rd season.

Last spring I made flyers to promote the move to Mondays. For the season 2 premiere I went all out, during the few weeks before the show I plastered my college campus and my city with flyers. I must have put up 200. To try and get some of the Monday night football crowd to start watching Roswell after the season was over I posted on a few football message boards and but flyers up at some local sports bars. They said things like, “So Monday Night Football’s over, now what? Ally McBeal or the Monday Night Chick Flick on ABC not appealing? Try Roswell, Monday Nights at 9:00 on the WB20.” I put pics of Katie on the flyers, I figured if she couldn’t get sports guys to watch nothing
could! LOL! Another one I did said, “No more football? Spend your Monday nights with the ladies of Roswell…” I put pictures of all the girls on those ones. I figure if sex sells we might as well take advantage of it! Anyway I’m hoping they at least made people curious about the show. I think one of the things we have to is just get the name out there. So many people don’t watch the WB and have no idea that the show exists.

Here is the latest press release concerning the PCF campaign that should be
sent to any and all media organizations:
“Roswell” Fans and PCF Show How Much They Care
Fans of the hit WB television drama “Roswell” are more than just your
everyday fans. Roswell fans across the country are now helping make a young
cancer patient’s dream come true. They have joined forces with the Pediatric
Cancer Foundation (showcased on the episode ‘A Roswell Christmas Carol’ which
aired on December 18th on the WB).
Fans have selected a 15 year old boy named Sebastian to fly to California.
He’s a huge sci-fi fan and enjoys watching Roswell. He’s very
interesting and an all around great kid. The trip will include a very
special invitation from the cast to visit the set of Roswell at Paramount
Studios during filming. He’s also interested in doing some fine Mexican
dining. The total expense for the trip will cost several thousand dollars
funded by the generous donations of dedicated Roswell fans everywhere.
Donations in excess of the cost of granting the wish will be directed toward
pediatric cancer research. In addition, several prestigious companies have
donated towards the trip: airfare by Merrill Lynch, rental car by Enterprise
Rent-A-Car, room by Marriott and a tour by The WB.
Fans have raised $1700 so far. If you would like to help, donations can be
made payable to Pediatric Cancer Foundation. “Roswell” should be written on
