“Fargo” Premiere – Aw Jeez, Here We Go Again
“Fargo” premieres tonight, April 15th at 10 PM on FX in the states and on FXCanda. The 10 episode limited series is inspired by the movie “Fargo” and features an all-new “true crime” story and follows a new case and new characters.
Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Bob Odenkirk, Joey King, Allison Tolman, Susan Park, Kate Wash, Oliver Platt and Colin Hanks are starring.
Colin plays police deputy Gus Grimly, and single dad who must choose between his own personal safety and his duty as a policeman when he comes face-to-face with a killer.
“Fargo” is written by Noah Hawley. Emmy Award-winning director Adam Bernstein directed the premiere hour.

‘Fargo’ on FX is full of chipper humor
Could FX’s “Fargo” be the best new TV series of 2014 so far? You betcha.
Others may praise the verbose slog that was “True Detective” or the uninvolving history of “Turn,” but for sheer entertainment value and constant surprise, no new program is better than this 10-part limited series adaptation of the Coen brothers’ 1996 film “Fargo.”
This TV series, which will tell a complete story over its short run (no cliffhanger, no season two with the same characters), is more inspired by the movie “Fargo” — its settings, its character types — than it is a remake (none of the movie’s characters appear), although a plot twist in an episode four flashback to 1987 suggests it also functions as a sequel.

Colin Hanks battled freezing temperatures for Fargo TV series
Actor Colin Hanks shivered through filming on new TV series Fargo after temperatures on location in Calgary, Canada plummeted to -30 degrees Fahrenheit (-34.4 degrees Celsius).
