Overnight Ratings for Roswell’s time slot

In series premiere news, 9-10 p.m. UPN sitcoms As If (#6, 1.9/ 3) and Random Years (#6, 1.5/ 2) were barely visible, trailing a repeat of the WB’s fifth place Smallville (4.1/ 6) by an average of 59 percent. Compared to former time period occupant Roswell last week (2.4/ 3 on Feb. 26), the comedies were off an average 26 percent. And versus its Buffy lead-in (#5T, 4.3/ 7), As If dropped by a considerable 56 percent. Dead on arrival sounds like an accurate assessment of As If and Random Years.
