Rosquilter Pentagon Quilt on Display in DC
Thanks to Mary D. for sending this in!
Dear Crashdowners:
On this eve of 9/11, I just thought Roswellians might like to know that the Rosquilter’s beautiful “healing hands” tribute quilt, gifted to the Pentagon in memory of those who were lost, is currently among a double handful of Pentagon quilts on display at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center Building in Washington, DC. The quilts are in glass cases along the walls on the concourse level between the Food Court and the Atrium. Each quilt is accompanied by an explanation, and in the case of the Rosquilters’, also by the pictures of the quilters.
I don’t know for how much longer these quilts will be on display here, but if any Roswellian is visiting in DC now and would like to see them, the Ronald Reagan Building is on 14th Street, NW, just half a block north of Constitution Avenue and the Mall. The closest Metro (that’s our subway) stop is Federal Triangle, and the subway stop connects directly to the concourse level of the Reagan Building — just follow the signs toward the Food Court, and stay to the left to arrive in the corridor where the Rosquilter tribute can be found.
