Will Bring Back ‘Roswell’Based on a draft schedule circulating yesterday, the WB Network has renewed the sci-fi drama “Roswell.” The series had been the subject of an intense fan renewal campaign.
Also set to return are “Popular” and “Felicity,” if deals can be signed. The network also will pick up five new shows, including “The PJs,” which last aired on Fox.
If the schedule being passed around holds true, WB might schedule both “Felicity” and “Jack & Jill” in the same Wednesday night slot, with each show getting 13-episode orders.
Likewise, “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch,” picked up from ABC, is slotted for Sunday at 8:30 p.m., behind “Popular.” It also seems the network will stick with its primarily African-American comedies on Friday night.
Also new to the schedule are:
“Grosse Point,” a comedy about what goes on behind the scenes at a fictional prime-time soap.
“Hype,” a sketch comedy built around five men and five women who lampoon television, movies, music and the media.
“Nikki,” a sitcom revolving around a couple of twentysomething newlyweds in Las Vegas, starring Nikki Cox (“Unhappily Ever After”).
“Gilmore Girls,” a drama about a 32-year-old mother and her 16-year-old daughter.
