2nd Roswellian Gathering: Thank You letter from EGPAF

It’s been almost 3 weeks since our 2nd Annual Roswellian Gathering. Kim and I want to once again thank all those who helped us with the auction. We just received this letter from Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation:

Dear Friends,

Congratulations on a fabulous event! Everybody at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation joins me in extending our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for your participation in the 2nd Annual Roswellian Gathering in Los Angeles on February 24, 2001. With the perseverance and contagious energy of the fundraising organizers, Lena Dangcil and Kim Hedland, together you raised $17,069!

These fantastic results surpassed all of our expectations and we are absolutely thrilled! By your involvement, all of you have demonstrated that anything is possible.

The money raised from the Roswell Auction will go directly towards our programs to identify, fund and conduct critical pediatric research that will lead to better treatments and prevention of HIV infections in infants and children. The Foundation is working to reduce and prevent HIV transmission from mother to child and to accelerate the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life-threatening pediatric diseases.

This battle we’re all fighting requires a united effort and because of your support, the Foundation will be able to achieve its goals and in so doing, bring hope to more children. Take pride in knowing that all of you have helped to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families.
