Various Topics Addressed On Roswell By Me

I’ve decided to address a bunch of issues that keep coming up in emails sent to the crashdown or to my fanforum account.

First, you can watch Smackdown Thursdays (that is, tonight) on your local UPN channel from 8-10 p.m. I don’t know when the promos for Roswell will air unfortunately so if you’re not a fan of wrestling, I can’t help you know when to watch for the promos/commercial.

Second, “Roswell” actually does premiere on October 9 and not October 16 as was previously announced. “Buffy’s” 2-hour premiere will now take place on October 2.

Third, neither The WB or UPN will be airing first or second season episodes of the show so if you’re in the mood for a Roswell fix this summer, you’ll have to watch your episodes on tape or try to patiently wait until October 9. And on that note…

Fourth, at this time, petitions to get the episodes on VHS or DVD won’t be beneficial as there are a lot of things that go into play with the issue–namely, production companies, networks and syndication (which usually happens when a show reaches 100 episodes). “Roswell” does have a chance of getting some episodes on DVD/VHS because 20th Century Fox which released the Buffy episodes is the same production company that does “Roswell” but it probably won’t be for a while, unfortunately.

Fifth, I won’t address or post any of the rumors Wanda is discussing at E! Online about two people from the show being engaged. I don’t trust a lot of the information she gives out and until something official is announced by someone associated with the show or cast members, I would take what she says with a grain of salt.

And on a more personal note, I will not be attending the Fanforum party next Saturday, August 18 (you can all let out that collective sigh of relief now ;) ) even though I live less than an hour away from where the party is being held. In fact, I will be out of town from Friday, August 17 through Wednesday, August 22 visiting a good friend and her husband in Arizona who are expecting their first child October 1 and helping to throw her a baby shower for her son Connor Jacob on the day of the party. Because of this, I will not have internet access while I am gone and will not be around to update the news so if there is not a lot of updates, you’ll know why.

Now, I’m off to go watch the rest of TRL and make plans to go see American Pie 2 tomorrow afternoon after my “Days” is over ;)
