Kong, War Win F/X Awards
Scifi.com reports that King Kong and War of the Worlds were the big winners at the fourth annual VES Awards on Feb. 16, honoring visual effects work, with each film receiving three awards and at least one top honor, Variety reported.
[…] King Kong garnered top honors for visual effects in an F/X-driven picture and won an award for animated character in a live-action film. The movie also drew the created environment nod for its high-altitude depiction of New York at dawn.
