Katherine is nominated for a “Golden Globe”

Katherine Heigl is nominated in the category “Best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a series, mini-series or motion picture made for televison” at the 64th Golden Globe Awards for her performance in “Grey’s Anatomy”.

Her competitors are Emily Blunt (Gideon’s Daughter), Toni Collette (Tsunami, the aftermath), Sarah Paulson (Studio 60 on the sunset strip) and Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds).

Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey of the “Grey’s Anatomy” cast are nominated, as well. They are listed in the category “Performance by an actor /actress in a televison series – drama.

The awards show takes place on January 15, 2007 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, California and will be broadcast on NBC.
