According to www.tvshowsondvd.com Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment announced that the complete 5th season of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” will be released on September 15, 2009.

DVD and Blu-ray are going to be published on the same day. The second season of the spin-off “Private Practice” hits stores, too.

Extras include an interview with Katherine Heigl as well as other features:

Bonus Material includes Extended Episodes, Bloopers, Unaired Scenes, a Behind-the-Scenes of the 100th Episode featurette and Interviews with Katherine Heigl, Justine Chambers and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
