UPDATE on Colin’s documentary, “Nos Amis,” (Our Friends)

As previously reported, our own Colin Hanks directed a documentary to recount the events of the terrorist attack on November 13, 2015 at the Eagles of Death Metal concert in Paris, France. Including reflections from members of the band and survivors of the attack, Colin says that he “promised them (he) would try to be honest and truthful and represent them the best way” he could in this documentary.

An avid music-lover, actor, and filmmaker, Colin produced the film in conjunction with HBO and the film debuted on the network last February. As pointed out in later interviews, Colin cites his friendship with the band in helping to create such an honest and moving tribute to those impacted by this tragedy.

The documentary is scheduled to arrive in stores on December 1st and is available now to pre-order on blu-ray and DVD.

On behalf of all of us here at the Crashdown, we thank you Colin for offering “a portrait of resilience in the face of unspeakable horror and a life-affirming coda” to us all.
