Cinescape – More On Final Destination Moving Date
A recent rumor popped up online that suggests that New Line is considering moving back the release of James Wong and Glen Morgan’s Final Destination to late summer in reaction to the recent Alaska Airways crash. The Insider checked in with New Line production prez, Michael DeLuca to get the word on what’s up. Mr. DeLuca replied as follows:
“No truth. We’re actually deciding to maybe move it back a week to avoid St. Patrick’s Day, which is traditionally, when it falls on a Friday, not a great movie-going day. The problem there is three other movies open on the Friday the week after. So we’re deciding between the 17th and the 24th.
“That’s the only discussion going on.”
