USA Network picked up “To Love & Die” with Shiri

The USA Network picked up “To Love & Die (in L.A.)”, this reports Zap2it.com. Shiri Appleby and Tim Matheson are starring in this series. Shiri plays Hildy, a young woman dealing with her abandonment issues by reconnecting with her estranged dad, a contract killer who recruits her into his line of work.

USA dropped “The Dead Zone” and “The 4400” to make way for “To Love & Die” and the crime drama “In Plain Sight”. “We wish we could keep all our great shows alive forever,” USA original programming chief Jeff Wachtel tells The Hollywood Reporter. “But we feel we need to give some of our new shows a platform to grow, and it’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to two shows that had a great run and helped create the resurgence of original programming on our network and on all of cable.”
